The purpose of the NYC Build it Back Boot Camp is to provide Disaster Case Managers and Supervisors with information to assist them
in helping their clients navigate the Build it Back program.
NYC Build it Back staff will conduct the training and provide information on the program and the process and offer troubleshooting assistance.

On Thursday, April 17th, Mayor Bill de Blasio, joined by his newly-appointed Sandy recovery and resiliency team, as well as elected officials from impacted areas around the five boroughs, announced the release of a report entitled “One City, Rebuilding Together.” The report is a helpful read, providing a snapshot of some of the issues the various recovery programs have faced and detailing plans for their improvement.

Using Federal Aid, Program Helps New Yorkers with Homes Damaged by Hurricane Sandy Recover and Rebuild
Brad Gair, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations, today announced the deadline to register for NYC Build it Back has been extended to October 31, 2013. NYC Build it Back is a federally-funded, City program to assist homeowners, landlords and tenants in the five boroughs whose homes were impacted by Hurricane Sandy. As of Monday, September 30th, more than 22,000 New Yorkers have registered for NYC Build it Back, including 9,400 registrants from Queens, nearly 7,000 from Brooklyn and 5,000 from Staten Island. Over the last two weeks, the Mayor’s Office of Housing Operations partnered with local elected officials, community associations, non-profit organizations and volunteers to help more than 4,800 additional New Yorkers register for the program.
Today, #ConeyRecovers and the Alliance for Coney Island partnered with Sam Burt Houses to provide a Disaster Preparedness event. Above, Andrew Olsen provided the attendees with an overview of the Build it Back program and Ruth Morales, #ConeyRecovers Coordinator, provided an overview of why preparedness is so important.
